Greetings!
I've attached a flyer for two virtual mixers for Black young people that are being hosted by the Black Youth Suicide Prevention Coalition in February 2024. Registration is linked in the QR codes on the attached image.
I know there can be hesitation and caution when promoting an event for youth, so I want to share who the leaders of the Black Youth Suicide Prevention Coalition are so you know it's legit:
- Sofie Fashana: Recent college grad who has been involved in nationwide suicide prevention efforts; part of the Youth SAVE Young Adult Task Force
- Canada Taylor Parker: Multnomah County Behavioral Health Division's Suicide Prevention Coordinator
- Nikobi Petronelli: Youth Community Engagement Policy Analyst - Behavioral Health, Oregon Health Authority -Health Systems Division
- DeShawn Williams: Owner of RAAP Counseling and Consulting; PSU School of Social Work Adjunct Instructor; ASIST and Youth SAVE trainer
- Des Bansile: Founder and Executive Director of Adulting IRL
- Anderson DuBoise: Strategic Initiatives Manager with REAP Inc.; Youth SAVE Trainer
- Ishawn Ealy: School Social Worker in Salem-Keizer SD
- Dishanta Kim: DKS Consulting, LLC; Behavioral Health Equity Strategist
In community,
Monica
