I hope you're doing well, and having a good 2024 so far.
I'm reaching out from NAMI Washington County, because our next event is coming up in just a few weeks, in the Tualatin-Sherwood area! So I wanted to send along the information, in hopes that you might be able to share it with any parents who might be interested. We want to spread the word to as many families in the area as possible.
On Saturday, March 9th, we're hosting a Parent Cafe, which is an opportunity for parents/caregivers to connect with other parents/caregivers and facilitate transformation and healing within families. It's based on the five protective factors: Parental Resilience, Social Connections, Knowledge of Parenting and Child Development, Concrete Support in Times of Need, and Nurturing Children’s Social-emotional Competence.
The Parent Cafe is taking place on Saturday, March 9th at 12pm, at the Sherwood YMCA. Childcare will be included, as well as snacks!
