If someone close to you talked about wanting to end their life, what would you do? QPR is an introductory training for anyone wanting to learn how to help a person with thoughts of suicide. Participants learn how to identify the warning signs, how to approach and inquire and how to connect the person with supports by following three simple steps – Question, Persuade & Refer. This event is co-hosted by the Winona Grange #271 and Tualatin Together’s Mental Health Workgroup. REGISTRATION REQUIRED. | |

Thursday, March 14th from 6:30-8:00pm @ Tualatin High School.
Presented by NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) Washington County, Ending the Silence for Families is a free 1-hour mental health education presentation for parents and caregivers to help them better understand the emotional and behavioral difficulties that may be early warning signs of mental health conditions in children and adolescents. This program works hand-in-hand with the presentations for students and educators to help foster conversations, improve understanding, and decrease the stigma that often surrounds mental health conditions. Light refreshments and dessert will be provided! Registration requested but not required. Spanish translation available. | |
