Hello and Happy New Year,
We hope everyone was able to get some well-deserved rejuvenation and is settling back in nicely.
We want to thank you for your wonderful work with students and families. In an effort to support you in your work, Oregon Department of Education (ODE) has connected with Oregon Health Authority (OHA) and their Community Partner Outreach Program (CPOP) to provide you with information on critical health resources available to students and families.
Below, you’ll find ways people can get help enrolling in and understanding the Oregon Health Plan (OHP), as well as other resources that can be utilized right away.
Who Qualifies for the Oregon Health Plan (OHP)
As of July 1, 2023, people of all ages who meet income and other criteria qualify for full OHP benefits and other services and supports, no matter their immigration status. This is possible thanks to a law called Healthier Oregon.
If you have families who would benefit from having OHP
All help is free and available in multiple languages. People can apply:
General resources if you have families who have OHP and need help
If you or someone you know is interested in becoming an OHP-certified community partner
