Here are some updates and information for you.
Suicide Prevention. Suicide Screening form and docs are on the Staff Portal>Student Services as before. New folks--or those wanting a refresher--can sign up for the virtual 45-minute How to Conduct a Suicide Screening in TTSD.
Teen Intervene. You are invited to attend the Teen Intervene training to learn more about substance use and youth. It is optional, and several counselors took the training last year. Sign up on this Teen Intervene Google form if you are interested in attending the in-person Teen Intervene training Thursday, Oct 5, 9am-1pm, sponsored by Washington County.
Flight Team. This is the time of year when we ask if you are willing to be on the Flight Team Member list to offer support to schools that have had a student or staff death. All interested are welcome--it is rewarding with low time commitment and you already have the skills needed. Watch for that email.
Interns. Please let me know with this Intern Google form if you have an intern working with you this year and their email. That way I can include them in resource and training emails, etc. Consider having your intern sign up for the virtual training How to Conduct a Suicide Screening in TTSD.
Mental Health Blog. This and other resource emails are also posted on the Mental Health @TTSD blog, so all the emails are archived and searchable in case you are looking for a particular topic or info.
Care Coordination. Watch for Care Coordination information from Kelsey Gibbs about services and the new referral form. Care Coordinators help middle and elementary families find mental health services.
Staff Portal. For resources that might be helpful, check out the Staff Portal under Student Services for Counselor/Psych/SSW/SSS Resources and more.
TTSD Website. A reminder that you can point parents/caregivers to the TTSD website Resources page.
