As a past recipient of professional development training from TransActive Gender Project, we wanted to reach out to let you know about two upcoming workshops taking place this spring, as well as our Gender Diversity Certificate Program. Both workshops are offered in an online format, and are eligible for CEU or PDU credit.

We invite you to take a look at the opportunities below, and sign up for our mailing list to receive periodic emails about future workshops and trainings (select TGP under 'Projects & Programs').

We hope to see you soon!

This two-part online workshop with TGP program director Jenn Burleton and attorney Judah Largent, JD, will focus on the current state of legal protections for transgender people at the federal and state level (OR and WA), as well as the growing amount of proposed anti-trans youth legislation across the nation. Participants will leave with a better understanding of rights in schools and healthcare settings, the rights of parents and caregivers, the legal obligations of child-serving agencies and institutions, and more. Details: $160. Includes 6 CEUs or PDUs.

Gender Diversity in Children & Youth: Inclusive & Affirming Care in Schools
Saturdays, March 11 & 18, 9 a.m.-12 p.m., Online

This workshop for educators, school counselors, and other school personnel will focus on how we can foster inclusive and affirming environments for gender nonconforming, gender diverse and transgender students in K-12 schools. Content will include age-related developmental challenges of transgender students, specific guidance on discussing gender identity and expression with students, how to best explain gender transition to students and parents, and the use of non-binary inclusive teaching tools for biology, history, and diversity curriculum. Details: $135 before 2/9. Includes 6 CEUs or PDUs. Instructed by Jenn Burleton and Kit Crossland.

Online Gender Diversity Certificate Program
New cohort begins September 28, 2023!
