Subject: Hawthorn Walk-In Center Update
Good Morning Everyone,
Washington County Behavioral Health and Lifeworks NW wanted to provide an update related to operations and walk-in hours at Hawthorn Walk-in Center.
Effective Monday 12/12/22 Hawthorn will re-open to limited walk-in hours from 9am-2pm on Monday – Friday. At this time, staffing levels are stable enough to support walk-in services on a limited basis. Staff will assess operations over the next few months to determine whether they can increase hours or need to cut back. Ongoing staffing limitations will require the Hawthorn to continue being closed to Walk-in’s on weekends.
Even during walk in hours, we are still suggesting that providers and community partners continue to call the Washington County Crisis Line (503-291-9111) if they are working with a client or community member who needs support from our crisis team. This will provide the best way for our community members to receive the appropriate level of support in a timely manner and will minimize the need for long wait times for community members arriving at Hawthorn during walk-in hours.
The crisis line is staffed 24/7, and staff can help decide the best option for care. This may include:
- Providing assistance by phone
- Connecting you with Hawthorn
- Arranging for mobile crisis response
Please do not hesitate to reach out to me with any questions.
